Announcement

Venue: Montego Bay, Jamaica

The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) is convening the first AOSIS workshop on trade, sustainable development and Small Island Developing States.

The Government of Jamaica has very kindly agreed to host the workshop, which is being organized under the auspices of AOSIS, with technical support from the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development. The date and venue for the workshop will be 12 to 15 December 2001, at the Wyndham Rose Hall Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Invitations have been sent to AOSIS Governments through their Permanent Missions in New York.

The agenda with its annotations will be posted on SIDSnet shortly, at www.sidsnet.org. Useful information on Jamaica can also be found on SIDSnet. Documents for the workshop will also be posted on SIDSnet.
