The weather in Valencia is never extreme, in winter the temperatures range from 17°C (62 °F) to around 19°C (66°F), November, December, January, and February. Although you may miss the crowds at this time of the year, you will find that many of the sites’ operating hours are reduced.
Summer in Valencia lasts about 8 months and runs from April through to November. In the summer months, temperatures can reach as high as 29°C (85°F).
If you plan to visit in March, when the weather is warming up, with the aim of joining in the fun of Las Fallas you will need to make all your bookings at least 6 months in advance.
April and May is a good time to go, the weather is warm and many tourists have not yet arrived, so you will have the city pretty much unhindered by fellow visitors.
If you just love the beach and long to lounge for hours in the sun with an occasional dip to cool down, then plan your visit between June and the end of August. If you fancy hurling a few tomatoes during La Tomatina make sure you are there in June. But remember this is peak season so beaches will be crowded and hotel rates will be high. For this period you need to complete your bookings at least 4 months in advance.
The highest rainfall for the year is in October so be prepared for rainy days even some spectacular storms, also the heat and the rain together make your days and nights pretty humid so unless you are determined to have your break at this time of the year, perhaps you should consider the most temperate months.
