Start your tour by getting to the historic quarter by 10:30 a.m. Get to the Plaza del Pilar square at first and explore through the Lonja building and Town Hall which lay along. Get to the Cathedral of La Seo, then to the monument to Goya and finally the Caesar Augusta Forum Museum.
The Basilica and La Seo Cathedral are two places which ample amount of time to be explored. You could also visit the Tapestry Museum and the interior of the Cathedral. The best pictures can be clicked at Puente de Piedra Bridge. If you still have some time, visit the Magdalena church which is just behind La Seo.
There are various restaurants near the square. Choose a normal meal or try out dishes like borage, fried breadcrumbs or lamb. There is a local fruit which serves as a nice dessert. You can obviously try out some Spanish tapas.
Take a cultural tour post lunch, by getting to the old streets which are full of people all the time. You can get to the Caesar Augusta Theatre Museum which leads you to the remains of old Roman theatre. Continue to visit along Paseo de la Independencia where you get many shops for souvenirs of the city. Go a little further along the avenue to reach the Courtyard of the Infanta’s Palace. If you get back to the historic center, following the route of Avenida César Augusto, you will get a perfect spot for resting. There is a terrace café which will overview the lively street atmosphere.
The evenings are best at El Tubo for some tapas treat. Sip through some wine or beer, as you enjoy the typical dishes. The younger atmosphere of nightlife is experienced near the Central Market but to level up the elegance, you could visit Francisco de Vitoria, Cesáreo Alierta or San Vicente Mártir.
