Marbella by Air
There is no airport in the city, and the closest one is in Malaga. If you have to get to Malaga Airport, then you would have to get to Marbella through a rental car, bus or taxi. Marbella By Car
Reaching Marbella by car is convenient due to the A7 motorway, which brings you from Malaga, Cadiz and Algeciras. It also connects other towns across Costa del Sol and gets you to the Malaga Airport. Follow the signs of Algeciras – Marbella if you are coming from Malaga, and when you reach Fuengirola, you need to pay a toll for AP7 or continue through A7.
Marbella by Train
You need to get to Fuengirola station and take a bus to reach Marbella. This is the nearest station and has local trains served by Renfe. You can get here from the María Zambrano Málaga station which is the terminal that connects with the AVE line that links to other cities like Madrid, Cordoba, and Seville. The Fuengirola train station is also conveniently located right next to the Bus station.
Marbella By Bus
There are numerous cities and towns throughout Andalusia and Spain which serve buses to Marbella. There is a direct service from the Malaga Airport, and that is usually ideal for the tourists. Avanzabus has a direct transport from Malaga Airport to the Marbella bus station. It costs around 6 to 8 Euros for a ticket and only takes 45 minutes to get to Marbella. They also offer transport to Barcelona, Granada, Cadiz, and Cordoba. Daibús Company offers a daily bus from Madrid to Marbella at different hours of the day.
Marbella By Ferry
To come to Marbella by ferry you have to reach Algeciras or Tarifa from Morocco, and then take a bus to Marbella. You get a ferry service from Puerto Banus to the Marbella Marinas, with the help of Fly Blue catamaran and cruise. This operates from April to November only, as the weather favours these months.
