translation of "MHLC convention". Set up page
on institutional linkages, colloquiua and MOUs (a long way to go with
this yet).
- Note: the News, Community,

they are independently published.

non-communication between the server and Frontpage publishing machines
on the SPC network. Can't remember what changes have been made over the
course of the month. Duhh.
- Few things in April that I forgot to mention, like Community
Fisheries Management sub-subweb
and handbook and setting up an
area for each Coastal Fisheries section
to start managing their own material, plus several new newsletters and
bulletins (Fisheries

the Marshall Islands page heading as "Fiji Fisheries Information").

Fisheries Address Book 2000 (both MS Word and pdf format)
- February 1st, 2000 - Added William Sokimi's

several other manuals, as time permits.
- December 1999 - Pearl Oyster Bulletin #13.
Updated (some) graphics to reflect new SPC
logo agreed by 1st Pacific Community Conference in Tahiti earlier in the
month. The old logo will be missed by most
of us, but not all. SPC media guru Conrad
Mill has made a video of the SPC logo story introducing the new graphic
to the strains of Also sprach Zarathustra

#6, Training Bulletin #12,
Directors Bulletin #3

this week. Added outputs of meeting on 16th Aug.

pages and added some more country pages. Aim to complete (at 30 mins per
day, ha!) by end of July in time for the SPC Fisheries meeting. Added PDF
national fisheries regulations booklets to Niue,
Vanuatu and Palau etc. Changed SPOCC page to er...
CROP but still waiting for agreed minutes of 2nd MSWG
meeting.
- Midyear 1999. SPC Coastal Fisheries website now appears to have achieved
"sustainability" (a very topical word in Fisheries), 3 years after
its inception as a spare-time project by TJA on PJH's webserver. Several people
have become involved and interested & growing rapidly. Corporate mutterings
about acceptability to the outside world are starting to be heard, and may
soon be time for the hackish ones to move on to some new project.
- June 1999 - Aymeric put a whole bunch of back issues of the Special
Interest Group Bulletins onto the site as PDF files. Some French translations
added - mainly of index pages, but spreading down the tree gradually...

page to frames, with bilingual table of contents. Added Peter Williams' tuna
fishery overview presentation, until it gets onto the OFP site.

Paper 99s".

paper & "country" pages
(mostly blank as yet)

sections for the Fisheries Information Section (Newsletters)
and the Capture Fisheries Section (Practical
Fishing)
- May 1998 - Deleted Links Guide for Newcomers to New Caledonia after finding out that Links Committee
had not yet cleared it for publication (sigh). Reinstated
it November 2000, after demise of Links at SPC. A bit out-of-date in
places, but still useful.
- March 1998 - Added SPOCC page & links to other
organisations
- November 23 1997 - From the Honiara Hotel, Solomon Islands - Completed staff
pages (a little sparse, but it provides something to hang future profiles
on), added a few more reports to IFRP and ICFMaP pages. Added the Links Newcomers
guide and some bits of Coastal Fisheries programme review to the title page
& generally tidied up the wording to reflect organisational name changes.
Removed links to some country reports because they haven't been cleared yet.
- November 21 1997 - Modified home page to reflect SPC's new name & new
Director of Marine Resources. Added a few projects, as future links to project-specific
home pages under the control of project managers.
- July 18th 1997 - This site finally visible outside firewall. Added some
reports to the list.
- June 13th 1997 - Ported some ICFMaP project pages from internal, particularly
some recent publications. Unpublished country reports not cleared for public
distribution yet. Logframes need updating. Project progress reports not ported
yet, owing to high "frankness" quotient.
- June 12th 1997 - Tired of waiting for coastal fisheries staff to contribute
to the site. Only response from Marie-Therese Bui who got together some RTMF
meeting papers and translations. Will start porting other existing material
as time permits & any complaints about editorial bias will be consigned
to the round file.
- May 30th 1997 - Added elements of introductory page, including CFP brochure,
and MANFish staff profile. Asked staff to review internal site entries &
sanitise them.
- Added Staff list index + Julian Dashboard profile.
- Added Publications index + RTMF 26 folder + WP3, Fisheries Training directory
- May 29th 1997 - Started porting 1996 internal site to external area, &
generally de-scurrilising and tidying up. Staff pages severely sanitised
(regrettably). Decision to have a separate folder
for each individual report, person, or project to include all essential graphics
and text relating to that item, to allow for easy maintenance and portability.
Structural elements (intro pages, menus, buttons etc) can share graphics
from the \logos and \textures directories..
