The Pacific Adolescent Reproductive Health Project is a regional initiative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with funding assistance from United Nations Foundation for International Partnerships (UNFIP).  The project is executed and implemented by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) in collaboration with nine Pacific Island countries whose populations range from as small as 10,000 in Tuvalu to over 800,000 in Fiji Islands.  It covers three Melanesian countries (Fiji Islands, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu), three Polynesian countries (Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu), and three Micronesian countries (Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati and Marshall Islands).  The participating countries were selected by UNFPA.

SPC is a regional technical development agency that works in partnership with Pacific Island countries, other organisations and donors to deliver priority programmes to its member countries and territories.  SPC aims to develop the technical, professional, scientific, research, planning and management capability of Pacific Island people an directly provide information and advice to enable them to make informed decisions about their future development and well-being.
