Our Pacific island People
The current development situation in the Pacific region is challenging. The region's economies are generally weak and increasingly complex issues - including disease epidemics, rapid population growth and urbanisation, and globalisation - demand attention. The Social Resources Division, which includes the Public Health Programme and the Socio-economic Programme, attempts to provide a coordinated response to the development priorities identified by Pacific leaders.
The Public Health Programme
