USP Dialup Setup for Mac OS 9

Open the TCP/IP control Panel and Select 'PPP' in the connect via menu, and 'Using PPP Server' in the configure menu

Note: IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router Address should be set to ' will be supplied by Server'

NameServer Address:

144.120.8.4

144.120.8.7

Search Domain: usp.ac.fj

 

Exit TCP/IP control Panel, Open the Remote Access control Panel and Select Registered User

Enter full email username, password, and telephone number in fields provided

 Click on options, in the protocol tab select all boxes except "connect to a command-line host"

 

Click OK to take you back to the remote access control panel. Click connect on remote access control panel to dial. This should enable you to dial into the usp network. The statu window should show the connection speed and the pc should now be connected.

Note: proxy settings in the preference tab in Internet explorer or Netscape navigator should be set to the following.

Web proxy: proxy.usp.ac.fj

Port : 3128
