Cisco Exam Certification

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a foundation and beginner level of networking. To obtain CCNA designation, candidates are required to sit either a one exam mode or a two exam mode at either a Prometric (PacSoft, TPAF) or VUE (InfoTech) testing centre.

One Exam Mode
Exam Code: 640-801 CCNA. This exam covers materials from all 4 semesters of the cisco networking academy.

Two Exam Mode
Exam Code: 640-821 Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies. This exam covers materials from semesters 1 & 2 of the cisco networking academy.
Exam Code: 640-811 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices. This exam covers materials from semesters 3 & 4 of the cisco networking academy.

For the two exam mode once a candidate has succesfully completed both exams the candidate obtains the CCNA designation.

Note the cisco academy semester exams only test the students understanding of the semester curriculum and help prepare the students for the certification exams. They do not contribute to the CCNA designation. Discount certification exam vouchers are issued to academy students who have successfully completed the required semesters.
