Accessing WebDAV-enabled folders on a Windows 2000 Machine
On windows 2000 machines, a web folder may be created in My Network Places. Once this is done, the web folder may be accessed through My Network Places. Instructions follow:
Step 1. Double Click on the "My Network Places" Icon.
Step 2. Douple Click on the "Add Network Place" Icon.
Step 3. In the Add Network Place Wizard, type your WebDAV URL and click on Next. The computer may need to install additional software at this point for WebDAV to function.
Step 4.
- Type your domain "User name:".
- Type in your domain password after "Password".
- Be sure to uncheck "Save this password in your password list" so others using that computer will not have access to your folder.
- Click on "OK".
Step 5. Enter a name for your folder and click on finish.
Step 6. Your web folder will now open up on your desktop. You may be asked to authenticate again. It will also be available in the My Network Places folder from now on.
