Scanning your PC for virus

  1. Double click on the VirusScan icon. Or click on Start, Programs, Network Associates, McAfee Virscan

  2. The McAfee Viruscan interface will be displayed. Select All files to scan all files on the selected C drive.

  3. Click on the Action tab and select Clean infected files automatically under When virus is found section.

  4. Click on Scan Now to begin the scan for viruses.


  5. At the end of the scan, a report will be displayed on the viruses cleaned and the ones it was not able to clean or delete.  Inform Helpdesk of those viruses it was not able to clean.

  6. Close the program after completion, by clicking on the close program button.
