Configuring Automatic Updates - VirusScan (For Laucala Campus)

1. Double click on the console icon with your left mouse button. This icon is at the right hand side of your task bar.
   
   
2. You will be presented with the Virus Scan Console window.
   
   
   
   
3. Double click on the Auto Update option You will be presented with the Task Properties for the Auto Update feature.
   
    
   
   
4. Please select the Schedule tab.
   
   
   
   
5. Please select Enable box to allow the scheduling of the updates and select weekly and set the time to start at the time given in the table below (Schedule for Auto Update).Please also make sure that the Enable randomization feature be enable to allow computers to update within a second of each other. Select Apply.

6. Click on the Program Tab and click on the configure button
   
   
   
   
7. This should present the VirusScan AutoUpdate Window. Click on the button.
   
   
   
   
8. Here we have the chance to change the site name. Please ensure that the Enable box is selected.
   
   
   
   
9. Change the site name to "update".
   
   
10. On the Retrieve Files From option select FTP Site.
    
    
11. On the Retrieve Options for FTP type the following: av.usp.ac.fj
    
    
12. Remember to select Use anonymous FTP login.
    
    
13. After you have chosen the option you want, click OK.
    
    
14. Please click Update Now to start an immediate update operation, or click OK to save the options you chose.
