Description
The joint meeting will look to progress discussions on the development of an integrated Pacific regional strategy for Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change which is targeted for completion before 2015.
The Pacific Platform for Disaster Risk Management is the annual opportunity for Pacific Island countries, territories and development partners and donors to share experiences and knowledge in building the resilience of their communities to disasters.
The outcomes of the meeting will also contribute to the development of the global Post-2015 Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
Target audience
Government representatives, civil society, non-government organisations, local/municipal government, community leaders, private sector, scientific community, donors and other stakeholders
