IRENA High-Level Event "Renewing Africa’s Energy Future"

This High-Level event side-event to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) will discuss domestic experiences, financing and technology challenges, and the role of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the international community in the deployment of renewable energy in Africa. Participants include Commissioner Elham Ibrahim, African Union (AU), and ministers from Angola, Cape Verde, France, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
