Expert Meeting on a Range of Approaches to Address Loss and Damage

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat has organized a series of regional expert meetings to address issues related to a range of approaches to address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, including impacts related to extreme weather events and slow-onset events. The experts at the meetings consider: approaches and tools for assessing risk; lessons learned from current efforts in the public and private sectors; design of comprehensive risk management portfolios or toolkits; and tailoring approaches and tools to national contexts.
