2 August 2012: The Pacific Plan Action Committee (PPAC) held a meeting ahead of the 43rd Pacific Islands Forum (PIF 43), to monitor progress on elements of the Plan. The 2012 Annual Pacific Plan Progress Report was presented to the Committee.

19 July 2012: Germanwatch launched a website addressing loss and damage caused by climate change, aiming to support Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in calling for action on the issue. The topic is increasingly relevant for LDCs, Germanwatch notes, as agreement to deliver mitigation commitments in line with staying below 2°C/1.5°C has not been yet achieved.

1 July 2012: The Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) project is addressing water issues in the Marshall Islands by installing water meters and improving the Airport Water Reservoir, the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) has reported. The Majuro Water and Sewer Company, via an agreement with PACC, is funding the Reservoir work and providing 11 bulk meters, a leak locator and a flow meter.
