6 June 2012: The Organization of American States’ (OAS) General Assembly has endorsed the Inter‐American Plan for Disaster Prevention and Response and the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance. 5 June 2012: The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) announced that all 16 member governments have renewed their hurricane and earthquake insurance for the 2012-2013 policy year, and that the Facility has provided them with a 25% rebate on their 2011-2012 policy year premium because none of their policies had been triggered.
