July 2012: The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis, with the support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), is developing a national trust fund and conservation finance mechanism for the sustainable financing of protected areas in St. Kitts and Nevis.

7 August 2012: The Dominican Republic has formally launched its National Strategy to Strengthen Human Resources and Skills to Advance Green, Low Emissions and Climate Resilient Development, which was developed with assistance from the One UN Training Service Platform on Climate Change (UN CC:Learn).
