19 April 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Secretariat) has reported that the Government of the Dominican Republic designated the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Laguna Cabral o Rincón as its second Wetland of International Importance.
