6 February 2013: The Natural Resources Forum, a UN Sustainable Development Journal, has issued a call for papers for a special issue on “Sustainable Development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS),” to be published in February 2014.
NRF is a quarterly journal published by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), Division for Sustainable Development (DSD).

22 January 2013: The Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) has reported on the conclusion of Acclimate, a four-year project dedicated to climate change adaptation. The culmination of the project’s work, a regional strategy for climate change adaption, was adopted by the IOC’s 28th Council of Ministers on 17 January 2013, in the Seychelles.

21 December 2012: The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution on “Promotion of ecotourism for poverty eradication and environment protection.” By the text (A/67/441), adopted on 21 December 2012, the Assembly calls for optimizing ecotourism’s benefits particularly in African countries, the least developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing States (SIDS).

18 September 2012: The Third Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF III) recommended greater coordination among Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member States in policies regarding energy integration, energy efficiency and the promotion of renewable energy sources.
