6 March 2013: The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) has announced it is implementing a portfolio of Community-Based Adaptation (CBA) projects of over US$16 million, leveraged from various partners and donors. 6 March 2013: The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar Convention) has reported that during a stakeholder meeting held on the occasion of the celebration of World Wetlands Day 2013, Agostinho da Costa, Secretary of State for Environment and Tourism, signed an inter-ministerial decree for the creation of a National Ramsar Committee in Guinea-Bissau.
