15 June 2010: The EU has provided US$1.1 million to the Solomon Islands Government to host an international meeting of 200 climate change negotiators from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) to discuss key climate change issues ahead of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, scheduled to take place in Cancun, Mexico, at the end of 2010.
