The purpose of the meeting is to seek advice from those governments and other stakeholders who previously have been invited to the meetings of the consultative process on financing options for chemicals and wastes, on the UN Environment Programme's draft proposal. The outcome of the Mexico City meeting will be presented to the third session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM3) in September 2012 for consideration. 30 August 2012: The Consortium of the Conservation of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO-C) convened in Maputo, Mozambique, on 10 August 2012, as part of the Nairobi Convention Meetings. The meeting agreed to formalize technical support to the WIO Coastal Challenge (WIO-CC), and selected two focal points to the Challenge. The meeting also agreed that the Consortium would focus on engaging the mainland states of Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique in the Coastal Challenge....

The ninth meeting of the UN-REDD Policy Programme Board is scheduled to take place in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, on 26-27 October 2012. Pre-meetings to be held on 25 October. The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) Participants Committee meeting will take place in the same location 21-23 October, and an optional field visit for participants of both meetings will take place on 24 October.
