13 June 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) convened a workshop aimed to transfer the results of SPC’s recent vulnerability assessment, titled “Vulnerability of Tropical Pacific Fisheries and Aquaculture to Climate Change,” and to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on fisheries and aquaculture in the region.

8 June 2012: The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) has reported that the Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) has recalled its statement on “Collaborating to Support Effective Responses to Climate Change,” during a meeting of the CROP Executives Subcommittee on Climate Change (CES-CCC).

5 June 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) has reported that the Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA): Pacific Small Island States project held its first regional steering committee meeting in Suva, Fiji, from 28–29 May 2012. GCCA is a global EU-supported initiative aimed at strengthening dialogue and cooperation on climate change in developing countries most vulnerable to climate change.

5 June 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) has signed a letter of agreement with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) mapping out the joint development of an integrated regional strategy for disaster risk management and climate change by 2015.
