10 September 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) has launched the Pacific Climate Change Portal, an online hub of information on climate change in the Pacific region. The Portal features an events calendar, experts directory, documents, national and regional committees, image library and links to virtual libraries in the Pacific on climate change.

6 September 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), in collaboration with the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD), hosted a training course on monitoring adaptation of coastal fisheries to climate change during the first week of September, in Noumea, New Caledonia. 27 August 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) held a two-day agro-forestry training for 30 Tonga and ni-Vanuatu agroforestry students in Eua, Tonga, from 23-24 August 2012.
