25 January 2012: An inter-agency report, titled “Green Economy in a Blue World,” concludes that the ecological health and economic productivity of marine and coastal ecosystems can be enhanced from well-managed marine sectors.

16 January 2012: The Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP) has published a report titled ”The Global Bioenergy Partnership Sustainability Indicators for Bioenergy,” which represents the first global, government-level consensus on sustainability indicators for bioenergy. The Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee (POPRC) is a subsidiary body to the Stockholm Convention established for reviewing chemicals proposed for listing in Annex A, Annex B, and/or Annex C.
