May 2012: Senior government officials from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency’s (CDEMA) Central Sub-region have convened for a second annual round of consultations.

8 May 2012: An Informal Ministerial Roundtable on Climate Change brought together representatives from 30 countries, including from least developed countries (LDCs) and the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), to build on the achievements of the Durban Climate Change Conference. 27 April 2012: High-level political representatives from ten Caribbean islands have formed the Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) Council, which will focus on sustainable development, including work on climate change and renewable energy, in its cooperation with the EU.
