The Seventh Conference of the Parties (COP 7) to the Nairobi Convention is being convened under the theme "Partnering for a Healthy Western Indian Ocean." In partnership with the Government of Mozambique, the Nairobi Convention is organizing this meeting to discuss the implementation of the Nairobi Convention’s Work Programme and preparations for the Seventh Conference of Parties (COP7) to the Nairobi Convention, scheduled to be held in December 2012. The Nairobi Convention area includes: Comoros, France, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Somalia, Tanzania and South Africa. 6 August 2012: The UN Development Group (UNDG) has released guidelines for national-level, multi-stakeholder consultations to help define the post-2015 development agenda. The consultations are to be held in at least 50 countries. UN agencies, funds and programs are invited to submit concept notes for consultations by 17 August 2012.
