12 October 2012: The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) and the German Development Bank (KfW) signed an agreement for a US$100 million KfW credit line for CAF-financed projects in Latin America’s water and sanitation sector. 18 October 2012: The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Government of Mexico announced joint implementation of a project aiming to improve the capacity of Caribbean countries to value and measure ecosystem services of coral reefs and to strengthen coastal zone management systems.

26 October 2012: The Global Water Partnership – Caribbean (GWP-C) and Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) trained 20 participants from the agriculture sector in Barbados in water use efficiency (WUE).
