3 December 2012: The UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) has granted the first Land For Life Award to civil society organizations from Haiti, Turkey and Uganda for their innovative work combating land degradation. 18 September 2012: The Third Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF III) recommended greater coordination among Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member States in policies regarding energy integration, energy efficiency and the promotion of renewable energy sources.
