18 September 2012: Kiribati has become the third country to ratify the Agreement on the Establishment of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), following Denmark and Guyana. The agreement confirms signatories’ approval for converting GGGI into an international organization.
In addition to the three ratifications, the agreement has 17 signatories, including 16 that signed at a ceremony in June 2012, plus Indonesia, which signed on 17 September 2012.
