17 February 2012: The Inter-American Institute for Agricultural Cooperation (IICA) convened a symposium to discuss the current state of agriculture insurance schemes and products in the Americas, as well as their role within a broader risk management framework to address the effects of climate change.

23 February 2012: The CARIBSAVE Partnership (“CARIBSAVE”) and the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) have announced postgraduate scholarships for Caribbean nationals for studies related to climate change.
Applications for the CARIBSAVE scholarships are due by 19 March 2012, and by 13 April 2012 for the CCRIF programme.
