30 June 2012: The Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism’s (CRFM) scientific body evaluated major fisheries in the region to determine whether natural fish populations remain healthy and where fisheries management controls are necessary.

5 June 2012: The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) announced that all 16 member governments have renewed their hurricane and earthquake insurance for the 2012-2013 policy year, and that the Facility has provided them with a 25% rebate on their 2011-2012 policy year premium because none of their policies had been triggered.

28 June 2012: The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has provided Barbados with a US$17 million loan to support its Public Sector Smart Energy program, which will be co-financed by a €5.8 million EU grant.
