The Ministry of Health is hosting a three-day workshop on nutritional 
management of obesity, diabetes and hypertension in the Caribbean at the 
Jolly Beach Resort.

The programme begins today.

Participants are expected from all of the territories of the OECS. They will 
include nutritionists, family nurse practioners and health educators.

Participants will be familiarised with the protocol for the management of 
obesity, diabetes and hypertension. They will also be trained in the use of 
the protocol, and to determine how the protocol will be introduced into the 
region's health systems.

The workshop is organised by the Office of Caribbean Programme Coordination 
(CPC) in collaboration with the Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute 
(CFNI).
