EAST PACIFIC SST & SEA LEVEL FOR JULY 2000
The last few months have seen slight rises above normal
in both SST and sea level. This may not mark the onset of
a longer trend because just in July there may have been
a return to slightly cool/low values. Unfortunately, our
colleagues in Peru and Ecuador are having problems with
their transmitting stations that preclude a sense of the
spatial coherence of these developments.
