corporations and as entrepreneur raised US $4 million in venture
financing in London in 2000. Became managing director of family-owned
Glenelg Natural Spring Water on returning to Grenada in 2004,
grew sales by 30% in 2005 and arranged over EC $1 million in financing
for Glenelg in 2006. Also involved with community and church activities.

WORK EXPERIENCE
1997 – present Glenelg Spring Water Inc: Director &
Managing Director
Served as director from 1997. Took on role of Managing Director
in June 2004 on passing of the company’s founder, Dr. E.
P. Friday. Along with co-directors, hired new plant manager, improved
HACCP compliance, re-organised the sales force, implemented sales
incentive, trained delivery staff in customer service, revitalised
the administrative function, upgraded the computer network, implemented
credit controls and purchase order system. Post hurricane Ivan,
negotiated half-pay with union and restarted manufacturing operation
within three weeks in partnership with NERO, Red Cross and GRENLEC.
Returned production levels to normal within four weeks. Presented
Glenelg’s success story at SME Forum in Channai, India in
2005. Also in that year, grew sales by 30%. Raised EC $1.2 million
in financing for the company as part of a new thrust to maximise
opportunity of CSME by increasing the production capacity, extending
the product range and building a regional brand.
2001 –present Atlantean
Inc: Founder & Chief Executive.
Founded this company in 2001 as ‘TransAtlantic Ventures’
an economic development consultancy firm in the UK. Won contract
with UK’s most successful regional development agency, Scottish
Enterprise, to help develop Scotland’s bioinformatics industry.
Commissioned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise to advise on
Scotland’s national marine science strategy. Invited to
present Scotland’s marine cluster development strategy at
International Marine Biotechnology Conference in Japan. Retained
by Select Financial Services in London to develop expansion strategy.
Retained by the American Stock Exchange to develop European Outreach
programme. On returning to Grenada, Atlantean is now established
as a consulting firm which is developing a venture fund for SME
and project development. Held Venturepoint 2005 conference.
1997 – 2001 IntegriSys
Ltd. Founder & Chief Executive
Established IntegriSys as a medical informatics company employing
internet-related technologies. Won contract with a national general
practitioner (GP) association to provide information services
to 30% of all UK GPs. Won accreditation from the NHS Information
Authority. Established worldwide portal for GlaxoSmithKline. Raised
US $4 million for this company via debt, lease and equity financing
from venture capital institutions, banks and business angels.
Established strategic alliances with IBM and BackWeb Technologies.
Built IntegriSys to a valuation of US $18 million as valued by
one corporate investor (Billam).
1995 – 1997 Health
Systems Integrated Ltd. Co-founder & Managing Director
Established this medical technology firm with two of the UK’s
leading General Practitioners (GPs). Established the first NHS
intranet. Developed disease management software for heart disease,
peptic ulcer disease, asthma, and prostate disease. Raised US
$1 million from Johnson & Johnson. Sold software to Johnson
& Johnson and used proceeds to establish IntegriSys Ltd.
1993 – 1995 Merck & Co. (UK subsidiary of a major US
pharmaceutical company)
Joined Merck as a Healthcare Relations Physician. Established
national ‘multi-fund’ groups with leading UK GPs.
(This eventually led to the NHS Act in 1997 which called for all
UK GPs to be re-organised into similar co-operatives.) Promoted
to Project Manager to manage re-engineering of the sales force
with sales in excess of £100 million. Also responsible for
the new adjunct sales team of 36 representatives for national
launch of Cozaar, a new billion-dollar drug for heart disease.
1991 – 1992 Grenada
General Hospital: Junior Medical Doctor
Rotations in Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Casualty and Obstetrics
& Gynaecology. Voted representative for Junior Doctors on
the Hospital Management Committee. Voted in as first intern to
hold a post in the Grenada Medical Association.

Certified as a Yacht Skipper
in the Spanish Canary Islands off the West Coast of Africa. Member
