National Workshops:     Islands and Information
The Government of Japan throught the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations has financed Internet training workshops for up to 30 Island States. This will be conducted by regional trainers and will  jump start national participation in SIDSnet. Currently workshops are planned for 10 Caribbean States, 13 Pacific Island States and 7 Indian Ocean/ African Coast islands. Implementation begins in September 1998.
